Dr. Michael Peters
Dr. Michael Peters has been associated with Johnson-McKee Animal Hospital for almost three decades. After his graduation from West Virginia University, he entered Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation in 1978, Dr. Peters did an internship at an equine practice in Chicago. There he cultivated his life-long interest in equine orthopedics and reproduction. In his spare time Dr. Peters enjoys woodworking, camping and farming. Dr. Peters lives in Salisbury with his wife, Diane. His son, Greg, is a graduate of theWest Virginia University School of Medicine, where his daughter, Laura, began her junior year in 2009, majoring in theater arts.
Dr. Ronald Poisker
Dr. Ronald Poisker has been associated with Johnson-McKee Animal Hospital since 1996. He is a graduate of Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Poisker enjoys the role of avian practitioner at JMAH, as well as treating exotics such as pocket pets, amphibians, rodents, and reptiles. In his spare time Dr. Poisker enjoys off-shore fishing as well as farming his 1800’s homestead. Dr. Poisker shares his hobbies with Karen, his wife of 40+ years.
Dr. Melanie Culver
Dr. Melanie Culver has been practicing at Johnson-McKee Animal Hospital since 1998. Dr. Culver completed her undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College and obtained her VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she cultivated special interests in small animal internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Culver practiced in two areas before returning to her hometown of Salisbury, where she enjoys an extensive circle of family and friends. Dr. Culver spends her spare time with her husband, Ronnie, riding their Harley-Davidsons and taking care of their four dogs and three cats.
